Dhaka University’s ‘B’ Unit i.e. Faculty of Arts, Law and Social Science admission test begins with the admission test of Dhaka University’s (DU) 2023-24 session undergraduate program. This admission test started simultaneously on February 23, 2024 (Saturday) at 11:00 a.m. in all the divisional cities of the country. The total duration of the exam was 1 hour 30 minutes. Out of this, 45 minutes were allocated for the MCQ portion of 60 marks. And 45 minutes allotted for written part of 40 marks. The one-and-a-half-hour-long examination ended at 12:30 p.m.

In response to this question, Professor Zia Rahman, Coordinator of Arts, Law and Social Science Unit and Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences, told The Daily Campus that the number of examinees in Arts, Law and Social Science Unit is high. Where the MCQ (Multiple Choice) of 60 marks is conducted in the first stage and the written test of 40 marks is conducted in the second stage. This time, a total of 1 lakh 22 thousand 279 students participated in the admission test of DU’s ‘B’ unit exam against 2 thousand 934 seats. As per that average 42 students are fighting for each seat.
Also, according to university sources, among the total number of seats in Arts, Law and Social Science Unit of Dhaka University, 908 seats are allocated for science department students, 1 thousand 744 and 282 seats are allocated for humanities and commerce department students respectively. DU KHA unit merit Merit & Waiting list Result
2023-24 academic year DU Bachelor (Honours) first year Arts, Law and Social Science B unit admission test is over, now the answer sheet evaluation is going on. Where first MCQ exam answer sheet in automated machine and exam questions written by experienced teacher will be evaluated total 3 times. Then the merit list of the candidates will be prepared on the basis of total 120 marks.
By doing this, the GPA obtained in the SSC and equivalent and HSC and equivalent examinations of the students participating in the entrance examination will be multiplied by 2. Merit list of the candidate will be made out of total 120 marks by adding the above 100 marks to the marks obtained in the admission test. Note that along with the merit list of DU B unit, the waiting list will also be published simultaneously.
